OUR FAMILY RESOURCES & FAQSEverything you want and need to know

We are always here to help! Here’s a good starting point for some of the common questions.

Do the children receive meals?

At Jenny’s Early Learning Centres we offer five nutritionally balanced meals daily, breakfast, morning tea, a delicious lunch, afternoon tea and late snack. We source the majority of our food locally, supporting local butchers, and fruit and veg wholesalers. Each of our centres has it’s own centre cook onsite, to prepare meals fresh daily, and cater for any individual allergies or preferences.

What age groups does Jenny’s Early Learning Centre cater for?

At Jenny’s Early Learning Centre we provide quality care to children from six weeks to school age. Our centres provide welcoming learning environments that  are age and stage appropriate. Consultation with your family prior to allocating your child to a room, teamed with flexible orientation options, helps us to ensure that the best educational outcomes are achieved for each individual child.

What do I need to bring?

At Jenny’s Early Learning Centre we provide a variety of things, however we do request that families bring the following:

  • A backpack with your child’s name clearly labelled.
  • Several full changes of clothing, clearly labelled.
  • Nappies (if required) – please bring a minimum of 5 a day.
  • A clearly labelled sunsmart hat
  • A comfort item such as a teddy or dummy if your child has one
  • Bottles if required, with formula. Cows milk (and allergy friendly alternatives) are provided by the centre.
  • The centre provides sunscreen, however if your child has sensitive skin or allergies and you wish to provide your own, please bring this along.
  • Suitable Clothing

At Jenny’s Early Learning Centre, we believe there is never ‘bad weather’, only unsuitable clothing. We encourage children to bring warm jackets and beanies on cold days, rain jackets and gumboots on rainy days, and wide brim hats and T-shirts/ dresses with sleeves on warm days.

Is kinder available at Jenny’s Early Learning Centre?

YES. At Jenny’s Early Learning Centres we run Government approved 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten programs which both operate 5 Days per week (Kinder times vary slightly between service locations). Please reach out to our individual centres to meet with our Early Childhood Teachers and find out more about our programs.

Is Jenny’s Early Learning Centre affordable?

YES. Jenny’s Early Learning Centre is amazing value for money. Some of our current families with Jenny’s pay from just $4.95 a day.

Families with an annual household income of up to $356 756.00 (July 1st 2022) are eligible for Child Care Subsidy (CCS).  For a personal quote based on your individual CCS percentage it’s best to contact our centre directly and we can give you a personal quote.

What activities will my child have access to?

Our centres offer educational programs developed based on children’s individual interests and needs. Programs incorporate a wide variety of experiences that include gardening and nature play, community outings, creative and art experiences, sensory play, literacy and numeracy activities, relaxation and yoga, outdoor play, excursions and incursions, singing and dancing, and much more.

To get a true vision of what we get up to on a daily basis we encourage you to reach out to our centres and book a tour to experience first hand the fun we have at Jenny’s ELC!

Child Care Subsidy

Government subsidies are available to help ease the burden of childcare costs. The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is paid directly to your approved childcare provider, so you’ll only need to pay for the gap fee, upon meeting the requirements. Our Centre Directors will help you in every step of the process applying for this.
