Our team of passionate and confident educators is committed to supporting the development of each child. At Jenny’s ELC, we are committed to providing an engaging environment for not only our children, but for our educators as well. We support and empower our early learning professionals to be the best educators that they can be.
We see our educators as the number one asset of each of our centres.
Our bright and driven educators bring new insights from their courses, and vast experience in the childcare industry. We develop teams with a variety of educational backgrounds and experience to support the best quality learning experience for each child.
Our continuous learning culture is so important, not only for our children but for our educators too! To keep each of our teams on the leading edge of childcare practice, we provide mentorship and support our team members as they undertake further qualifications and up-skill courses. Jenny’s ELC is a supportive and challenging learning and working environment with the continuous goal of providing only the best educational experience for your child.
At each of our centres, we have Centre Directors that are extensively experienced in the Early Childhood field. We provide recognised Pre School programs in all of our centres, with the support of additional room leaders also qualified with Early Childhood degrees and Diplomas in Children’s Services.
Meet the leaders of our Jenny’s ELC team!
Epsom Centre Director
Jaylea is the Director at Jenny’s ELC Epsom. Jaylea has been with Jenny’s ELC since 2011 with her initial role as Director at Maiden Gully. She took up the role of Director at the Bendigo Hospital centre in 2014 before recently becoming the centre director at Epsom. Jaylea has over 30 years of experience in childcare services.
Raised and educated in the Bendigo area, Jaylea is a true local who deeply understands the Bendigo community. She completed her teaching degree at Bendigo College of Advanced Education and began her career at Eaglehawk North Primary School before moving interstate with her family.
Her interest in early childhood education developed when working as a primary school teacher in North West NSW. At this time Jaylea realised the importance of early childhood development when she observed that children from local stations were not adequately prepared for the school setting. She became driven to open a preschool service in the village of Rowena, working closely with the local community to achieve the best outcomes for the children, the school and the community.
On returning to Bendigo after eight years away, Jaylea completed a Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood Education at RMIT and commenced as a kindergarten teacher working at Helen Jessen and Annie Galvin Children’s Centres.
Passionate about the environment and sustainability, Jaylea has particularly enjoyed educating children and adults in these areas. She has developed strong skills in education, communication, and the mentoring of educators and is motivated to continuously learn and take on many new skills that will support children, families and educators within the Jenny’s ELC community.
Jaylea is looking forward to welcoming you to our Jenny’s Epsom Family soon! Contact Jaylea to learn more about Jenny’s ELC Epsom.
