Kinder Room News – October

What’s been happening…

There have been a lot of changes in the Kinder Room over the last couple of months, but things have finally started to settle. We welcomed Alix into the Kinder Room as the Kinder Teacher and said good-bye to Sara

We have made a few changes to the room routines, and it seems to be working well for the children, these changes are getting them further prepared for the start of their Schooling adventure.

We are focussing a lot on School readiness this term and will slowly be introducing lunch box days, continuing our letters, numbers and shapes and also focussing strongly on the children’s interests.

A big interest that the children have demonstrated since I have started, is Dinosaurs, we have been creating Dinosaur artworks , making volcano’s, reading all about Dinosaurs and building our role play skills as we play with the dinosaurs.

Another interest the children have been following is construction, every day something wonderful is created with the wooden blocks, we have seen castles, racetracks a Dinosaur Museum and lots more

We have lots of wonderful special events happening on October so please don’t forget to check your emails. If you have any questions or feedback please feel free to speak to Alix or Ash.

Alix would like to thank everyone for making her feel so welcome and she is really enjoying her time at Jenny’s Strath.
