Joeys Room News – June 2014

What a busy month we have had in the Joeys room for May. Lee came back from her Honeymoon, where she went to Sydney for a week then on a 10 night cruise to the South Pacific islands.

We have done paintings for Autumn and will be starting our Winter themed decorations shortly.

Louise had finished her 4 week final placement and ran the room for 2 weeks and has done an amazing job!

We have noticed our lost property basket filling up quite a bit and ask families to please check it on a regular basis. Also if you can please label all children’s items so they don’t accidentally get sent home in the wrong children’s bags or end up in the lost property.

Now that we are in winter, we do ask to please pack nice warm clothes for your child so that we can still enjoy playing outside even when it is a little chilly. Jackets, beanies, shoes and extra clothing are big recommendations.

We always appreciate any old toys/books you may have that you no longer need/want for the

bubba’s in the Joeys room. The children always love something new to play with. And last but not least, can you please bring a family photo so we can continue to put apples on our tree. This helps children with recognition and also feeling a sense of belonging.
