Tigers Room News – June 2014

It has been a busy month in the Tigers Room, with lots of exciting things happening. We spent a whole week doing lots of different science experiments for National Education Week (smell, taste, making volcanoes and helicopters and experimenting with what happens when we put paper towel with colours on in water). It was very popular and we all had lots of fun, even the teachers. We have also had lots of parent input this month which has been great, we had Laura’s family bring in materials for us to make parachutes and provide us with lots of ideas for science week, we also had Denzel bring in his three pet guinea pigs, so if you have any great ideas or suggestions please let the staff know. Cooking has also been popular this month as well as our love for birthdays, so far we have been so funny face biscuits, birthday cakes and have had the request for hots dogs and making our own juice. We are currently setting up a beach area and a farm area at the request of the children so if you have anything lying around at home that you aren’t using anymore that we could use in these areas we would be extremely grateful. We have lots of exciting things coming up in the tigers room so please stay tuned.
