Cubs Room News – October

In the cubs room we have had lots of exciting things happening. It was sad to see Raquel our step in room leader leave to pursue a new career. So we welcome our new room leader Caitlin Williams. Caitlin is very excited to work with all the children and families and has some great ideas for the room. One of those exciting changes we have made is a new layout of the cub’s room. We have incorporated a sink in the kitchen area which the children are very interested in playing with as well as a natural area with sand to bring outdoors inside, a baby corner and a reading corner encourages the children to enjoy moments of solitude and experimentation with different objects. We welcome all our new families we have in our room we love having our new friends and getting to know all our precious little individuals. we are also currently helping the older children in our cubs room ready for transition into the giraffes room whether that will be this year or next year in which We are encouraging children to feed themselves and getting used to sleeping on a bed.we would love to have some ideas from our families on different activities and experiences you may like us to incorporate into our routine. We are now in to spring so the weather is warming up and we encourage families to bring children’s sun smart hats so they are able enjoy playing outdoors. We have been working very hard behind the scenes to complete all our cubs’ children’s portfolios that you will all receive at our family Christmas party.
