It has been a wonderful start to the year in the busy Zebra’s room. The staff that are in the Zebras room this year are Amber Luton, Kylee Edlin, Laura Bruton, Katelyn Kirk, Michelle Hall and Amy Perry. We have welcomed many new families into the Zebras so far this year which has been wonderful and everyone has settled in really well.
The children have had a strong interest in dinosaurs so far with many children engaging in dinosaur role play. We have extended on this interest with the children by doing dinosaur art work and having dinosaurs in our natural area. Play-doh and artwork are very popular with the children with many children asking for play-doh and to do painting each day. During winter we would like to take the children outside to play in the rain and jump in puddles so if it is raining could parents please bring gumboots and a raincoat for the children? As we are the main toilet training room could parents please bring in plastic bags for soiled clothing. Parents please also ensure that you are sending a few changes of clothes for children who are toilet training.
We would like to start using more recycled and natural items within our room so if families could bring these in it would be fantastic. This could be cardboard boxes (small and large), hessian bags, logs, material etc.
