Sustainability Awards Open

Applications for the 2016 Bendigo Sustainability Group Sustainability Awards have now opened and community groups, business and individuals are encouraged to nominate before the closing date 5pm Friday February 26, 2016.

The biennial awards are a community event designed to celebrate businesses, organisations, community groups and individuals in our community that are innovating and making changes towards a more sustainable way of life.

Bendigo Sustainability Group President Chris Weir said the awards are a great way to showcase and acknowledge the wide range of sustainability work that is taking place in our community.

“This is the fourth time that Bendigo Sustainability Group has held the awards, and each time they get better and better. It’s a credit to the community to see the work going on from schools to large businesses and it’s great to be able to recognise this work and effort through the awards,” Mr Weir said.
