SPORTING teams, emergency services, schools and businesses will compete for special cups at the Bendigo Bank Fun Run on November 2.
Fun Run co-ordinator Kiri Earl said the Sports Club Cup would be awarded to the club with the biggest team entry.
Golden Square Cricket Club, Kutanya Netball Club, Bendigo University Athletics Club and Bendigo Fighting Miners Rugby have signed up for the fun run.
”With so many sporting clubs across the region, this is a great opportunity to extend the club environment and camaraderie,” Ms Earl said.
”The timing is perfect for some pre-season training or to challenge rivals club to see who can get the biggest number of participants.
”The Bendigo Bank Fun Run is for a great cause and this is an opportunity for all sporting club members to support their local hospital.
”There are thousands of people participating in sport who have had needed our services, particularly the Emergency Department, throughout their careers and we hope they use this opportunity to give back.”
The Corporate Cup has already attracted a strong field, including AFS & Associates, Telstra, Reecy Owins Real Estate, Latrobe University, Punches in Bunches, MSD Animal Health, Jenny’s ELC, GrainCorp, It’s Her Gym, Fusion Physiotherapy, Coliban Water, BLS Financial and Beck Legal.
White Hills, St Therese’s, Maiden Gully, Lockwood, Girton Grammar and Crusoe College have nominated for the Schools Cup.
