What we have been doing:

Recently in the giraffes room we have been very interested in the story “we’re going on a bear hunt” we extended on with this interest by displaying a bear hunt net from the roof. The children enjoyed making all the props for it and enjoy looking up at it.

This month the educators have been focusing on sensory play with the children, this is to help support language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving skills, and social interaction. The children also learn sensory attributes such as: hot, cold, sticky, wet, bumpy, hard. We had plenty of sensory activities such as: water beads, goop, playdough, scented cloud dough, sand play, water play and also finger painting.

Please remember that the weather is getting hot and your child will also need a sun smart hat and clothing that covers their shoulders. Also appropriate footwear that covers your Childs toes please. Also ensure you are packing lots of spare changes of clothing as we love water play in the summer!

Can all parents please ensure you are packing 4 nappies a day per child and also labelling your Childs items.
